Mnemba Island

Mnemba is an idyllic private island off the north-east coast of Zanzibar offering a luxurious ‘feet in sand’ beach hideaway. Thatched bandas offer beautiful views of the main island of Zanzibar and across the Indian Ocean. The island is close to some wonderful scuba diving sites, with a wide variety of corals.

Home to just 12 luxury bandas or cottages the philosophy is one of unblemished privacy and immaculate service – the ultimate ocean hideaway.

Each banda is built with traditional materials of timber, thatch and woven palm matting, secluded in its own area of lush vegetation. All the rooms are well proportioned with large wooden beds and crisp cotton sheets with en suite showers and a large verandah. From freshly baked bread to the juiciest catch of the day, you are assured only the finest ingredients and a fine culinary experience.
