Location: Feynan Ecolodge is situated deep in the heart of the mountainous Dana Biosphere Reserve, approximately a 2.30 hour drive from Amman and a 1.30 hour drive from Petra.
The lodge is simple, but perfectly comfortable and very charming. It is solar powered in the main communal rooms, whilst the bedrooms are candle-lit. This is a great base for off the beaten track adventures and fantastic hiking.
Rooms: 26 suites.
Facilities: Dining room, sitting room, gift shop, rooftop terrace with telescope, inner courtyard and numerous outdoor seating areas. Only vegetarian food is served.
Activities: Exploring local archaeological sites, trekking, hiking and canyoneering, biking, cooking experiences, evening activities (sunset hike, candle lighting, stargazing).
Children: Children of all ages welcome, although it is more suited to older children/teenagers as there are specific facilities and the property is usually reached by a 5 hour trek (although it is possible to drive).
