Facilities: Restaurant, bar, free WiFi, swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, sauna.

Activities: Hiking, canoeing, library, tennis court.

Our Opinion: Stylish resort set amidst the Atlantic Rainforest, between the sea and the fore. It offers a spa, the Shamash Healing Space, set on top of a hill top with panoramic ocean views, great surfing spots nearby, 5 pools surrounded by acres of lush tropical gardens and a tennis court. The 38 private bungalows are spacious and comfortable and built on suspended wooden decks made from native raw materials. Guests can ejoy their stay at the beach, explore the Camamu Bay, go hiking up the hills or visit nearby cocoa farms.

Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first.
