Location: Awasi Patagonia is a Relais & Chateaux property situated in a private reserve overlooking Torres del Paine National Park.

Rooms: 14 private villas.

Facilities: Restaurant, outdoor hottub and wood burning stove in each room.

Children: Children of 10 years and over are welcome.

Our Opinion: The key to Awasi’s success is that it is small, exclusive and beautifully run. All clients have private 4×4 vehicles and guiding and it offers the most exclusive experience in the Torres del Paine. It is one of the more expensive lodges, but it is small, charming and well worth the money.

Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first.
