Location: Situated in the foothills of the mighty Virungas, on the edge of the Parc National des Volcans.
Rooms: 8 comfortably furnished rooms in stone cottages, each with a private verandah, sitting room with fireplace, bedroom, dressing room, a large modern bathroom & large picture windows to make best use of the wonderful views.
Facilities: The main lodge building comprises a sitting room with snug area, dining room, library & shop. Three large fireplaces provide warmth and the two patio areas afford wonderful and dramatic views to the Virunga Volcanoes and the surrounding lowland farmland.
Activities: Hiking, bird watching, local village visits, guided walks.

Our Opinion: Located in the spectacular foothills of the Virungas and surrounded by tropical rainforest, Sabyinyo Sliverback Lodge is a superb base for exploring the local area and is well positioned for access to the entrance gate of the Parc National de Volcans for tracking mountain gorillas.
