Estancia Huechahue

Location: 30 km east of Junin de los Andes, at the foothills of the Andes mountains.

Rooms: 4 rooms in the main lodge and 6 rooms spread over 2 chalets a short stroll across the lawn.

Facilities: Meals served in the dining room of the main house, hot tub, sauna & plunge pool.

Activities: Horse riding, fly fishing, rafting, hiking, bird watching and golf course near by.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Our View: Lovely, authentic estancia. Down to earth, no frills, but quite special. Owned by a great English lady, horse riding is a big thing here for beginner and experienced riders and there are plenty of other things to do as well. We love it!

"Many thanks indeed. Fab holiday! Everything went incredibly smoothly, and all the staff/drivers etc charming and all our connections etc went smoothly. Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first. Quite different, but both outstanding in terms of people, location, set up, activities, comfort etc. So overall a brilliant holiday, expertly organised by WO/HL/JF!
