Location: Situated near the town of Kibuye on a hill leading down to the shore of Lake Kivu.
Rooms: 7 wooden guest chalets, each affording beautiful views over the lake. The rooms are reached along quite steep pathways and are comfortably furnished in the style of a log cabin with en suite bathroom facilities. At the front of each bedroom is a small terrace – an excellent place to sit and watch the sunset on a clear evening.
Facilities: The central lodge consists of a large bar, lounge and restaurant area with fireplace. Steps lead down to a small, private beach next to the lake.
Activities: Canoeing, boat rides, water skiing.
Children: Children are welcome.
Our Opinion: Situated on a hillside, the lodge’s wooden cabins are simple but comfortable. The main lodge, restaurant and terrace have panoramic views of Lake Kivu and the surrounding islands.
