Location: Chada Camp is situated in the north of the park, with an elevated vantage point rising out of the miombo woodland, and is ideally situated with panoramic views over the Chada floodplain.
Rooms: The 6 Meru style safari tents are set on raised wooden decks and boast large beds with linen sheets, solar lighting, palm mats and safari chairs on the shady verandah, as well as en suite bathroom facilities with outdoor shower.
Facilities: The central tented mess area is hidden under a canopy of acacia, kigelia and tamarind trees, which also provide popular shade and food for the abundant bird and animal species which inhabit the region.
Activities: From the camp you enjoy guided game drives by open 4×4 vehicle and bush walks with an armed safari guide; optional night game drives & fly camping are also possible. Alternatively you can take the opportunity to relax outside your tent with a bottle of chilled wine and soak up the total privacy and isolation.
Children: Children over the age of 12 are welcome.
Our Opinion: Situated in one of the most remote and secluded National Parks in Tanzania, Chada Katavi offers the true safari enthusiast an unrivalled big game experience.
