Our Opinion: Vamizi is a wonderful hideaway island in the far north of the remote Quirimbas Archipelago, far from the madding crowds. Accessible by light aircraft either from Dar es Salaam (in Tanzania) or Pemba (in Mozambique), the essence of a stay at Vamizi is to relax in barefoot luxury – the very spacious villas are set back a short distance from the exquisite beach and the cuisine is superb.
