Location: Situated in the Madikwe Game Reserve.
Rooms: 5 free-standing guest villas has been carefully located to make the most of the cooling breezes and spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. The villas consist of a spacious bedroom with separate lounge area and expansive deck area. The en suite bathroom has an outdoor rain shower, whilst each villa also boasts a private rim-flow pool.

The main lodge consists of a large deck, which spreads across the front of the property with leadwood trees rising up through the deck surface providing wonderful shady spots from which to enjoy the game visiting the waterhole below.

Our Opinion: Jamala is a luxury safari lodge situated in the heart of the one of South Africa’s most renowned wildlife reserves. Owner managed and offering guest accommodation in just five beautifully appointed villas, the emphasis at Jamala is on a very high level of personalised service and exclusivity. The lodge is shaded by age-old leadwood trees and boasts open views to the busy waterhole in front and open savannah beyond. Madikwe is home not only to the Big Five but also the Super Seven: buffalo, cheetah, elephant, leopard, lion, rhino (black and white) and wild dog. In addition to these animals, the Reserve boasts an impressive array of plains game and over 350 recorded species of birds.
