Our Opinion: Hatari Lodge is situated on the northern edge of Arusha National Park at an altitude of approximately 1,800 metres and overlooks Momella Lakes and the impressive peaks of Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. This luxury ‘bush hotel’ was formerly a working farm, before becoming the setting for the film Hatari starring John Wayne. It is a superb base for exploring Arusha National Park as part of a longer safari in northern Tanzania.
