Location: Set on the secluded, palm fringed Ushongo Beach, just south of Pangani.
Rooms: 7 cottages and 2 suites, plus the nearby Mawimbi Villa. The rooms are simple, but comfortably furnished with direct beach access.

Activities: Kayaking, snorkelling at offshore islands, diving, windsurfing, fishing, kayaking, fishing village tours, turtle hatching.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Our Opinion: The Tides is a small lodge located on a beautiful stretch of beach near Pangani on the remote Tanzanian coast. It is a simple, Swahili style ‘feet in sand’ hideaway which offers the ultimate in coast relaxation.
