Takayama is a delightful & atmospheric riverside town set amid the spectacular Japanese Alps in Central Honshu.
Much of its historic charm & traditional architecture still remains evident within the Old Town’s wooden houses and narrow lanes. Takayama is fairly isolated and it requires a little effort to reach, however you will be rewarded with a true sense of traditional Japan.
