Location: In the Cayo District, in the north west corner of the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, 40 minutes from San Ignacio.

Activities: Horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, birding, cave tours, canoe trips, tubing, waterfalls and visits to historic ruins.
Children: Children are welcome.
Our Opinion: This is one of Francis Ford Coppola’s places, luxurious, in a fabulous and remote setting, with a very good Italian restaurant. Worth noting is that its location is not in the rainforest as is often described but in fact in a mixed habitat of pine, oak, craboo, sedges and palmetto forest.
