Facilities: Restaurant, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and massage service.

Activities: Horseback riding, bird watching, hiking and tours to villages and mountains in the surrounding area as well as coffee tours.

Children: Children are welcome.

Our Opinion: This is a beautiful family home full of history and character, dating back to 1888 when it was built by the current owner’s great grandfather. The house is filled with colonial period furniture and personal family items. A wonderful place to stay in a great location to explore the coffee region. One of our favorites.

"Many thanks indeed. Fab holiday! Everything went incredibly smoothly, and all the staff/drivers etc charming and all our connections etc went smoothly. Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first.
