Location: Mawamba Lodge is located 1 km northwest from town, on a fine strip of land in between the Canals and the Caribbean Ocean, offering you, direct access to both. Walking distance between Lodge and town is 10-15 minutes.

Facilities: Restaurant, bar/lounge, fitness room, outdoor pool, massage & beauty services.

Activities: Tortuguero Canal boat tour, visits to Tortuguero village, kayak tour, turtle nesting night tour, turtle hatching morning tour, canopy tour, fishing tour.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Our Opinion: Small, comfortable lodge with lots of activities on offer. One of the best options in Tortuguero.

"Many thanks indeed. Fab holiday! Everything went incredibly smoothly, and all the staff/drivers etc charming and all our connections etc went smoothly. Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first.
