Location: Located in the heart of the Yasuni National Park, a UNESCO a Biosphere Reserve and the largest tract of tropical rainforest in Ecuador.

Rooms: 16 rooms (12 cabins and 4 suites).

Facilities: Restaurant, lounge, bar, library.

Activities: Forest expeditions, canoe riding, observation towers.

Children: Children are allowed.

Our Opinion: The lodge has been constructed in natural indigenous style and consists of 12 luxury cabins, a dining hall with well stocked bar and a 50 foot viewing tower. The Napo Wildlife Center provides visitors with great opportunities to explore the treasures hidden in the sacred lands of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador.

Highlights included white water rafting, zip wires, releasing new-born turtles into the sea, being in a boat amongst 200 dolphins, riding on beaches... Children and parents ticked off many from our “must do things in our lives” list. In terms of lodges, would rank Pacuare and Lapa Rios equal first.
