Gonarezhou National Park

The second largest park in Zimbabwe at over 5,000 squared kilometers. Gonarezhou is a Shona name meaning “The Place of Elephants”. The park is situated along the Mozambique border and is part of the “Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park”, a 35,000 km² peace park that will link the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique and the Kruger National Park in South Africa with Gonarezhou.

Why visit Gonarezhou National Park ?

The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, black and white rhinos, blue wildebeests, lions, leopards, hyenas and more. In addition to wildlife the park also features the beautiful red and white sandstone columns known as Chilojo Cliffs, overlooking the picturesque Runde River valley.
