Location: Located in the Grumeti Reserve, a private concession area of over 350,000 acres in the Western Corridor on the edge of the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
Rooms: 9 very elegant, luxurious tents, all of which have been furnished with richly coloured fabrics, antiques and Persian rugs reminiscent of a bygone era. The tents are air conditioned and the camp enjoys wonderful views out across the vast Sabora plains that reach to the horizon and beyond.
Facilities: The main living area of the camp features a large and airy lounge with a dining tent and a spacious covered deck with fabulous views out across the Serengeti plains. There is a library tent, tented health spa, gym facilities and a swimming pool where you can cool down during the heat of the day.
Activities: Guided safari walks, game drives, wine tasting, tennis, archery, local community visits, children’s activities.
Children: Children aged 10 and over are welcome.
Our Opinion: Singita Grumeti Reserves has three beautiful lodges offering some of the most stylish and sophisticated safari accommodation in Tanzania. Sabora is a stunning tented camp reliving the unique and luxurious tented safaris of the 1920’s…a golden age of style and romance. A very high level of personalised service is offered with excellent guides and a wide array of activities. You can enjoy watching game up close wandering through the camp, game drives in open 4×4 vehicles or just relax in sumptuous surroundings. The quality of the game viewing here is superb.
