Location: Superbly situated overlooking the Grumeti River in the north of the world famous Serengeti National Park.
Rooms: 20 elevated, spacious tents raised on wooden decks with sweeping views over the river from their private balconies. The rooms are furnished with king-size beds, leather armchairs and writing desks, as well as en suite bathrooms.
Facilities: The main camp area has a split-level lounge, swimming pool, restaurant and viewing platforms overlooking the river and wilderness beyond. The main deck is the ideal place from which to view the sunsets over the Ndasiata Hills and Grumeti River.
Activities: Game drives, balloon safaris, sundowner cocktails, walking safaris.
Children: Children of all ages are welcome.
Our Opinion: Migration Camp is a first class safari base in the northern Serengeti. Resident game includes lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo as well as a whole host of smaller mammals. The area is also recommended for keen birders, as there are a wide variety of habitats including riverine forest, wooded hills, kopjes and open grassland.
