Location: Set within a shaded grove of acacia trees, in a secluded area towards the west of Tarangire National Park.
Rooms: 12 luxurious, spacious tents which blend in with the surrounding bush, all overlooking a waterhole which is visited by a variety of wildlife. All of the tents are en suite and have a private deck, as well as both an indoor & outdoor shower.
Facilities: Swimming pool, WiFi, library.
Activities: Day and night game drives, bush picnics, walking safaris.
Children: Children aged 6 or above are welcome.
Our Opinion: Swala Camp is situated in the remotest corner of Tarangire National Park and makes for a luxurious yet authentic safari stay away from the busier northern sector of the park. With no other camps nearby, this is an excellent private safari hideaway. Elephant, giraffe, lion, hippos and even the occasional leopard are seen at the nearby waterhole.
