Hong Kong

A tour of Hong Kong will introduce you to most of the island’s iconic features. Enjoy a tram ride up the 552 metres high Victoria Peak, which overlooks the city’s specatcular skyline and the South China Sea.

You can then step aboard a sampan at Aberdeen Promenade for a close-up view of the local fishing community; the rustic lifestyle of the fishermen has changed little over the years in sharp contrast to the development of the city.

At the south-eastern end of the picturesque Repulse Bay, Hong Kong’s most popular beach, stands the eccentric Kwun Yam shrine, whilst crossing Longevity Bridge is supposed to add three days to your life.

Shopping in Stanley Market is best experienced on weekdays; its maze of covered alleyways plays host to many shops and stalls, and is especially good for clothes. You can also relax at the waterfront promenade of Stanley Main Street or at Stanley Main Beach.

Across the harbour on board the star ferry to Kowloon, you’ll find a diverse ethinic mix of neighbourhoods, fascinating markets, leafy parks and colonial gems.
