Beaches & Watersports

Dubai

There are a number of lovely beaches in Dubai, although the best known is Jumeirah beach with several large five star hotels stretching along it. These soft, golden sands make an ideal base from which to enjoy a wide variety of water sports including windsurfing, sailing, parasailing, canoeing, water skiing, wake boarding and jet skis. Please note that not every hotel offers all these activities so please check with us in advance of making a booking to avoid any disappointment.

The Wild Wadi Water Park is part of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and is a must for all children who like water slides. Jumeirah Beach Hotel guests enjoy free entry, but is open to non residents for a fee.

Desert Safaris

Morocco - Sahara Desert

Although the golden sands and warm waters of the Gulf are an inevitable attraction, there are thousands of square kilometres of open desert that are ripe for exploration. All hotels offer trips into the desert which will generally include some ‘wadi bashing’, camel riding, visiting remote villages or archaeological sites, a BBQ dinner or even a night in a Bedouin-style camp. We can offer a wide range of trips so please contact us for further details.

If you would like to spend more time in the desert in considerable style and comfort, then Al Maha is a stunning camp situated approximately one hour’s drive from Dubai City, offering luxurious accommodation combined with a wide variety of desert activities including game viewing of the very rare wild Arabian oryx.

Another fascinating contrast to a stay on the coast is a visit into the Hajjar Mountains. Being slightly higher in altitude, the temperature can be refreshingly cool and there is plenty of walking, exploring and relaxing to be enjoyed here with a stay of one or two nights.

Dubai City & Souks

With the Dubai Creek coursing through its heart, this extraordinary city is a melting pot of cultures and traditions, both ultra modern and truly ancient, offering visitors a fascinating glimpse into an intriguing and exotic world.

Dubai is arguably most famous for its superb shopping with not only a number of huge, modern shopping malls, but also its famous souks of Deira. Wandering around the bustling Spice, Gold and Covered souks and soaking up the sights, sounds and smells is a fascinating experience.

Other places of interest include the Dubai Museum in the imposing Al Fahidi Fort; Sheikh Saeed’s House; Jumeira Mosque and Grand Mosque; or take a ride on a boat (abra) along the creek to get the best view of this extraordinary city.

Sports Facilities & Health

In recent years Dubai has become synonymous with some of the biggest sporting events in the world with huge prizes, which have attracted big sporting names. Golf, horse riding, tennis, power boat racing are just a few sports which are extremely popular and have resulted in excellent facilities being available.

All the five star hotels boast health centres with a spa which cater to the increasing demand for massage and beauty treatments.

A wide choice of treatments is generally available ranging from ‘Essence of Earth Massages’ and even massage lessons to Seaweed Body Masques. Staffed by highly qualified professionals, these spas are the ideal place to rejuvenate and pamper even the most stressed of city executives.

On account of its location on the Persian Gulf, Dubai enjoys a hot, dry climate throughout the year. The best months to travel here are from October to April when temperatures are typically between 25 and 30 degrees. June to September are less busy months, but can be extremely hot.
