Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls really needs little introduction as one of the most famous natural wonders in the world. The Niagara Gorge separates Canada from the United States but the two are linked via the Rainbow Bridge. The town itself is located on the western shore and overlooks the Horseshoe Falls, which is the most dramatic of the two falls and it is possible to take the lift down to a lower and much wetter vantage point!

Why visit Niagara Falls ?

  • Head into the thundering spray aboard a Hornblower cruise boat
  • Smell the roses at the Niagara Botanical Gardens
  • Check out the deli’s and vineyards of charming Niagara-on-the-Lake
  • Take a heli-flip overlooking the stunning falls
  • Enjoy the view from the observation deck on the 520-ft Skylon Tower

Hornblower’s ‘Voyage To The Falls’ cruise takes you from the Canadian docks at the base of the Great Gorge, past the Bridal Veil Falls on the American side and then up-close and personal with the thundering water, awesome power and amazing mist of the mighty Horseshoe Falls!

You can also walk right behind the powerful waters of the Horseshoe Falls, take a Whirlpool Jet Boat tour, zip up to the top of the Skylon Tower for the best view around.

But there is more to Niagara Falls than the falls themselves or the entertainment complexes that surround the gorge; spend some time here and you’ll discover the quaint Victorian-style town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and some of the best wineries in the country.

Whether you are looking for wineries in the Niagara region or a specific winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the area is gaining international recognition as an important wine destination with some wonderful vineyards to visit and great wine tasting as well as a foodie hotspot.

Niagara-on-the-Lake itself is a place where rural pleasures blend seamlessly with sophisticated entertainment. You can relax in charming B&Bs, indulge with pampering spa experiences, and delight in delectable local food paired with delicious wines. From antique shopping to challenging golf to internationally celebrated theatre, it’s a world of endless fun and flavours.
