Ruaha River Lodge

Location: Situated on the banks of the Great Ruaha River in the heart of Ruaha National Park.

Rooms: 24 stone & thatch chalets with spacious verandas overlooking the river and wildlife below. The rooms are very spacious and feature twin or double beds, writing desk, mosquito net, safe box and en-suite bathroom with a shower and double basins.

Facilities: Bar, restaurant, outdoor firepit.

Activities: Game drives, bird watching, game drives, walking safaris, fly camping.

Children: Children of all ages are welcome.

Our Opinion: Ruaha River Lodge enjoys a stunning position overlooking the Great Ruaha River. Split into three individual camps with a total of 25 bungalows or bandas, the lodge is an oasis of comfort in this wild and remote wilderness. Built and managed by Peter & Sarah Fox, the lodge represents a great value base in one of East Africa’s most exciting national parks.
