  • "We had such a brilliant 2 weeks in Mauritius. A truly lovely spot at Shanti - beautiful and secluded with a great team ready to support us and make our stay as relaxed as possible. The food was a real delight ... all in all, we feel very lucky to have had such a great time". Thank you once again to you and your team for coordinating this for us.”

    Hayes Honeymoon, Mauritius, Indian Ocean

  • I can't tell you both how relaxing the stay was. My other half described it as a 'hospital for stressed people' as we both found the service to be outstanding and the whole place was cleverly done.

  • I couldn't have asked for anything more of World Odyssey on my trip to Ethiopia. They were extremely prompt and efficient throughout the complicated planning, and nothing was too much trouble. The Ethiopian agents, drivers and guides were knowledgeable, charming and helpful without exception, and Ethiopia lived up to our highest expectations.

B R A Z I L The sheer size and scale of Brazil B R A Z I L

The sheer size and scale of Brazil is perhaps its most intriguing and formidable quality. Covering almost half of the entire continent, Brazil is a country of superlatives….it is home to the evergreen mass of the Amazon jungle which is the largest tropical rainforest and the most diverse eco-system on earth; the Pantanal is the greatest wildlife wetland region on the planet and the Iguazu Falls are without doubt the most awe-inspiring of all waterfalls.

Rio de Janeiro needs no introduction, squeezed between the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the mountain escarpments, Rio is blessed with one of the most stunning settings in the world and it is widely believed by the residents of Rio (or Cariocas as they are generally known) that God created the world in seven days and on the eighth day he created Rio.

Later this month, we see the return of the infamous Carnival, party time in Brazil and Rio leads the way in hosting what is arguably the greatest show on earth. As Ash Wednesday approaches, the city turns into the most colourful, vibrant, exotic and entertaining city in the world with its five-day carnival of dancing, music and elaborate floats.

T H A I L A N D At the end of your cultural adve T H A I L A N D

At the end of your cultural adventure throughout South-East Asia, Devasom Khao Lak is the perfect place to finish your holiday. Spend your days relaxing at this beautiful resort and experience the infamous Thai hospitality at its very best.

Found by the waters of a natural lagoon to one side and the pristine shores of Khao Lak’s most stunning sunset beach to the other, this unique beachfront retreat is set in an enchanting place where two worlds meet. For those who find it hard to sit still, there are many activities to choose from at the resort and within the local area.

The pristine resort covers three hectares of verdant grounds and each of the remarkably designed 69 luxury guest rooms, pool suites and beachfront villas offer spellbinding sea views.

Paying homage to the opulence of the 6th and
7th centuries, the resort’s design is based on the intricate and breathtaking archaic art and architecture of a lost civilisation that
once resided here.

J A P A N Since being founded in 816 by a monk J A P A N

Since being founded in 816 by a monk named Kukai, there has been a religious community settled atop of the sacred Mount Koya (known as Koya-san in Japanese). Koya-san is a wonderfully peaceful place and is home to more than 100 temples and monasteries.

Most visitors opt for the convenient cable car to reach the top of the mountain, however it’s also possible to take a more traditional approach and hike along the ancient pilgrimage trail, the Choishi Michi.

The full 24km trail will take around 7hrs to complete through thick forest and over mountain passes as it snakes up the mountainside. It is also possible to start at a different point and cut the hiking time down to 3-4 hours, still allowing plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
